Rosa May Sampaio Arquitetura is based in São Paulo and has a team of nine people, in addition to employees in Rio de Janeiro, Argentina and Uruguay. Its projects have participated in the most important decoration exhibitions in Brazil and Argentina, among them Casa Cor/SP, Casa Cor/Brasília, Casa FOA (Buenos Aires), and CAD (House, Art, and Design) in São Paulo. Rosa May was elected one of the 80 best decorators in the world in Andrew Martin’s Designer Directory and her projects were finalists in The International Design and Architecture Awards in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, having won in 2016 in the “Pool” category. In 2016 and 2017 the company was recognized with the Best Interior Design Company/South America award by the Architecture Awards Build and also received the Best Interior Design award by the Americas Propetys Awards 2017.
He has executed residential and commercial projects in Brazil, the United States, Uruguay and Argentina. The firm’s proposal is to establish a meeting between the needs of clients and a curatorship made with a lot of criteria and knowledge, idealizing environments that excel by the comfort, visual accuracy and harmonious composition among furniture, colors, lighting, decorative objects and art, using refined finishing materials aligned with international design trends.
The projects are designed to dialogue organically with nature and the architectural elements from where they are inserted, whether in the countryside, beach or city. This philosophy is reflected in a constant search to create cozy, beautiful, innovative spaces that inspire fuller coexistence.
Interior designer Rosa May Sampaio has been in the market for over 30 years. She graduated in Languages from PUC-RJ, in Art History from École du Louvre in Paris and in Interior Architecture in Espade – SP, she is also a scenographer, having participated with her work in three plays. Her works have illustrated great magazines, books and interior design editorials, such as Casa Vogue, Casa Cláudia, D&D, Elle Decor, Marie Claire Maison, Kaza, Vogue Italia, among other national and international publications.
